Bedtime Kids Meditation for Sweet Dreams

 

Take away any anxiety your children are having and let them have sweet dreams with this easy guided meditation.  I like to do it when they are tucked in bed and ready for sleep, however it can be any time of the day. 

Close your eyes and use your imagination to feel as if you are lying on a boat on the ocean on a beautiful sunny day.  You are feeling safe and with your Mum, Dad, friends (can put any name of someone they feel safe with.

Another boat comes up to you and a smiling friendly man says "Hello, this is the bye bye boat".

He asks you to think about all the things in your mind that are making you scared (you can give some personal examples here).  Now take all of those things out of your head and put them in the bye bye boat. 

Now, think about all the things in your mind that make you angry or grumpy (once again you can give some personal examples of what it happening in their life).  Take all those things out of your head and put them in the bye bye boat.

Lastly, think about all the things in your mind that make you feel sad.  Take all those things out of your mind and put them in the bye bye boat. 

It is time to say goodbye to the man and his bye bye boat.  Now we don't need to worry about all the things that make us scared, angry or sad as they are out of our head and being taken far away.  We can relax and have a good sleep and sweet dreams.
