A great breathing sequence that can be done for 3-5minutes and instantly give those moments of peace is Alternate Nostril Breathing.
Coming to a comfortable seated position, close the eyes and bring right hand up to the face. Breath in and use thumb to cover right nostril as you breath slowly out of left nostril. Take a slow deep inhale through the left side and then close, and breath out through the right nostril as you release the thumb. Continue this pattern with an inhale and exhale on each side before swapping. Once finished, slowly lower hand and take your time to open the eyes.
